1. There are two types of piston rings: gas ring and oil ring.
2. The function of the gas ring is to ensure a tight sliding fit between the piston and the cylinder liner, prevent high temperature and high pressure gas from leaking into the crankcase, and at the same time dissipate most of the heat received by the top of the piston through the cylinder wall.
3. The role of the oil ring is to distribute and scrape the oil. When the engine is running, the lubricating oil in the crankcase is thrown onto the cylinder wall by the parts.
4. When the piston moves up, the oil ring distributes the lubricating oil evenly on the cylinder wall to facilitate lubrication; when the piston moves down, the oil ring scrapes off the excess lubricating oil on the cylinder wall to prevent oil from escaping into the combustion chamber.
5. There are multiple oil return rings in the concave annular groove around the oil ring, and the oil scraped off by the oil ring flows back to the crankcase through the radial oil return hole at the bottom of the oil ring groove.
6. The piston ring has a slit and is elastic. When the piston reciprocates, the piston ring is attached to the cylinder wall, or opens or contracts to ensure that the top of the plug and the cylinder form a closed space.
7. The piston ring has 3 lanes, the first and second are 180 degree , and the second and third are 90 degree .
